Impact is a positive action
project designed to develop the competitiveness and
employability of not only UK Black and Minority Ethnic
students but also of
others who would benefit from enhanced career planning
support through a
programme of suitably tailored guidance and career development
learning
activities.
The programme of activities
is diverse and Impact participants can choose from or
are guided towards, the following activities, many of
which are employer led:
- Confidential one-to-one discussions
- Workshops on team working, employment
opportunities, job search strategies, applications,
interviews and assessment centres
- Mentoring
- Mock Interviews
- Access to and assistance with obtaining
work experience, work shadowing and
- Industrial/summer work placements
- Student support groups and personal
development activities
