Employer: Covance Laboratories Ltd

Covance is a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) working in the Life Sciences area, principally servicing the pharmaceutical, medical device, agrochemical and chemical industries. Covance's purpose is to lead advancements in drug development through science, service and shaping solutions for the top 50 global pharmaceutical and biotech companies. With headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey, we are one of the world's largest and most comprehensive drug development services companies.

The majority of their laboratory based roles are based at their Harrogate site in North Yorkshire. They also have data roles based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

- Your career opportunity:
As a Study Director at Covance you will have responsibility for study control with overall responsibility for the scientific, technical and regulatory study conduct. You will be the focal point of contact for each study with internal and external clients.

- To thrive in this challenging role, you must be:
• An excellent communication skills with a desire to exceed client expectations
• Organised with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to demonstrate good presentation skills, both written and oral for this high profile position.
• Up to date with knowledge of current regulatory requirements
• Familiar with working in a GLP / GMP complaint environment and with assay validation to FDA standards.
• Educated to degree level with a minimum of three years’ experience, preferably Study Directing, a further degree in an appropriate discipline is desirable.

Experience: Experience will have been gained in Study Directing. In addition experience of client management and Technical expertise will have been gained prior to this role.
